Having been searching online everywhere, no website nor forum said it can be unlocked using just your computer and your data cable, literaly everything from your retail box. Then suddenly I found that xiaoyaoswim from MOdaco forum mentioned he unlocked the phone and then dropped in toilet. Then after a few hours later he provided us with the tutorial. I tried and managed to unlock mine but wifi was not working, then after his instructions on the forum and others help I managed to get my OMC working perfectly. So I decided to put a tutorial together to get your ZTE skate going. : )

Important:
Before you do anything, copy your Wifi MAC code from you phone.
Write it down somewhere.
Step 1: Install driver and then boot your phone to FTM mode.
Remove the battery then put it back, hold Volume down key and plug in data cable at the same time.

Step 2: Open download.exe to flash your phone, ignore when it asks RecordCSV.sdi, the system will tell you when it is finished.
Now you should have you phone unlocked.
Step 3: Fix Wifi connectivity
1. Use you file explorer to find /system/etc/nv_4319.txt
2. Copy it to SD card and modify it on computer
3. Change the MAC address from 00:11:22:33:44:55 to your own(remember? You wrote it down.)
4. Install Root Explorer and use it to copy and replace nv-4319.txt
5. Remember to switch on R/W
Congrats, you just had your ZTE skate unlocked fully.

Additional tutorial for Rooting your ZTE skate
Step 1
1. Connect your phone to PC when switched on and make sure you have the drivers installed
2. Open /Step1/V960-1KeyRecovery.exe
3. Press anykey and your phone will reboot and the recovery package will be installed on your phone
Step 2
1. Put V960Root_update.zip in your SD card
2. Switch off phone, take out battery and put it back again
3. Hold Volume Down Key and Power Key to start phone
4. Choose select update your phone using zip file
5. Restart phone and it is rooted.
